“Whitney seemed stellar to begin with. She was friendly and offered to give us a virtual tour of the home since we were purchasing out of state. During the virtual tour, she mentioned small things like she wish they had added an extra hook on the bathroom wall but ignored and kept from our attention the fact that EVERY door frame in the home had been severely scratched by the owner's cat. This would have been noticed by anyone walking into the home, yet she mentioned nothing and kept it out of the camera. She encouraged us not to ask for the HOA resale certificate despite this not being a standard per every forum or online resource and also encouraged us not to get an appraisal on the home. Before we signed with her as our agent, she explained she would be negotiating on our behalf yet when it came time to negotiate, her typical response was "The owner said there isn't a problem" despite us having the issue listed by a third party inspector. When it came to the final walkthrough, the previous owners had left improperly filled drill marks in the wall where they had the TV hung in the living and master bedroom. Whitney assured us this was normal but upon further investigation, this is typically covered by the previous homeowner. Per her words, typically "anything that doesn't fall out when you turn the home upside down and shake it" shouldn't even be removed so the mount should have been left on the wall. Her communication with us was great until after the purchase was complete, at which point she did not assist us in receiving the mailbox key which she had not given us. She did not want to help us in regards to getting the alarm code which was also not given to us. The alarm was beeping nonstop and we had to contact the seller's realtor ourselves due to her "not being friendly" when Whitney spoke to her last. So at the end of the day, if you want a "feel good" realtor, you can go with Whitney but if you want someone who will stand by you, go somewhere else.”
