Joseph Nguyen

• Driven by his passion to help family and friends find the right home for their stage in life, Joseph Nguyen began investing in residential real estate in 2013. His customer serving experience in banking/lending and as a CPA provides him with a unique skillset allowing him to be transparent & serve his clients at the highest level. He obtained his real estate license in 2018 and would like to pay it forward by assisting others and their loved ones with the same care he would for his family & friends.

• Joseph is a native Houstonian who began serving the community during high school in 2003 at a local credit union as a Banker assisting members with deposits and loans. He was eventually promoted to Loan Officer approving $200-$500k in loans monthly for people with all types of backgrounds and credit history. His tenure at the credit union ended in Dec. 2009 after working his last three years as the credit union's Controller responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, setting loan & deposit rates, implementing policies & procedures, etc.

• Joseph is a CPA, has a M.S. in Accountancy and B.B.A. in Accountancy from the University of Houston. He left the credit union to pursue a career in public accounting working at EY, a big four Accounting Firm. During his seven years in public accounting, he assisted Fortune 500 & private companies develop internal controls, provide audited financial statements, assist with SEC filings, file federal tax returns and perform technical research for C-Suite executives. He primarily served a Global Real Estate client with more than $120 billion under management and several Oil & Gas clients. Joseph is currently working as the Assistant Controller for a Houston based Oil & Gas company and is continually looking for opportunities to help the community and grow as an individual.
