Absolutely ! As a Realtor and a licensed insurance agent, it is imperative that you communicate the type of insurance you need for the property in order to have proper coverage at all times. You only need one policy for the property, but I would suggest an umbrella policy to be covered as a landlord/owner as well. I recommend your tenant carry their own rental policy as well for their belongings too. This coverage is very affordable for them typically. Be completely honest with your agent to avoid any miscommunications or under coverage. Hope this helps! If you need a great insurance recommendation, I just may know someone! LOL!
Hey there! I actually have a company right now that allows clients to purchase with not so perfect credit, no bank statements or tax returns. They must have 15% down however, and successfully complete their home buying program. As far as renting goes, many landlords will gladly accept your conditions, not to worry. This is where having a great agent that goes to bat for you and negotiates on your behalf. Best of luck !
Congrats! Welcome to Real Estate....there are tons of great places to hang your hat. Interview them all and see who is going to give you the most training and support, as this is crucial for a new agent. Also, identify what the cost to be a part of their organization will run you, and the value that they give you in exchange for that, i.e website, broker availability, trainings, etc. I personally chose EXP Realty because I love technology and I\'m self driven and enjoy the flexibility of the cloud campus on my own schedule. Lived here for 6 years now, and have enjoyed the holiday and family activities for residents, the many amenities, including sports fields and leisure, and the access to multiple shopping and restaurants along with major highway access nearby.
