Real estate, technology & social media...my three favorite things! Having a tech-savvy Realtor who keeps up with technology and the latest social media trends is mandatory in today's digital real estate world. Whether you're buying or selling your home, let me put my expertise to work for you!!
I am a full-time professional Realtor with eXp Realty, LLC and have been a Realtor since 2004. Prior to real estate, I spent years working in marketing and project management for many high technology companies such as BMC Software, Compaq Computer and HP. I've brought that wealth of experience to my real estate business and consider myself a step ahead of most in my field when it comes to technology. If there is a new real estate technology available to assist in helping me achieve my client's needs, I'll probably know about it! : )

Hi John, Congratulations on your decision to get into the wonderful world of real estate! : ) I have been in the business about 14 years. Was with Keller Williams my first 9 years and enjoyed that very much. Things were different then than they are now, with fees and required training costs, but it\'s a great company and I still have many friends/associates there. You will have to pay franchise fees, training and other fees, plus the usual 30% split I believe. When I decided I wanted to keep more of my commission, I switched to Texas Home Group in Spring, which is a flat fee brokerage. You only pay a set fee per transaction, usually not much more than $300 or so. There are a few other fees but all in all a great way to keep more of your money, and a great brokerage, offering many more perks than most flat fee brokerages, in my opinion. Now, for the past year almost, I have been with eXp Realty and really loving it. It\'s a whole different kind of business model, with a national broker that has agents in almost every state. I am a big geek so I enjoy this brokerage as they are a technology based brokerage, operating 100% in the cloud with virtual offices, online campus, tons of training, a new mentor program, stock purchase plan, additional revenue streams of income via stock awards and commissions for referring other agents to the company and much more. Because of my technology background, this was a perfect fit for me and probably the last change I will ever make. You just have to figure out what your needs are and find the best model to fit your needs. I would say that any brokerage will offer some type of training classes, and maybe also a mentoring program, but you will more than likely just learn as you go, as we all did. I encourage as many classes as you can take through HAR, title companies and lenders. If I can answer any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Happy to help! : ) sellwithrhonda@gmail.com
