Check the deed restrictions to see what limitations are prohibited in the neighborhood. The best place to start your preliminary research would be to contact the home owner's association (HOA). Verbally inquire with the person at the HOA, and then ask them for a copy of the deed restrictions which will give details about Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions, also known as CC&R's.
