14 days - (on page 51 of attached doc) Coming Soon is used when a listing is under a valid listing agreement but not yet ready for showing or display to consumers on HAR.com or other third-party sites (due to repairs, photos, staging, etc.) Showings are not allowed while in Coming Soon. A listing can remain in the “Coming Soon” status for up to 14 days. If the listing agent does not change the listing status to Active during this time the listing will automatically go to “Withdrawn” status.
It certainly would depend on the circumstances. Ideally you would view a home in person prior to making a decision. Of course, this is not always possible. I have had international clients unable to visit Houston prior to closing. There are a variety of options available when someone needs to buy a home but cannot see the home themselves. In addition to virtual tours, I use FaceTime and walking videos on Marco Polo. These are great when there is a significant time difference. My clients have always been thrilled with their choices!
