There are programs for credit challenges out there with FHA that go as low as 580 midscore. There would certainly be higher rate but there are options albeit less of them. If you are looking to lease , there still are options as well. You can still rent with challenged credit. With Mitigating factors such as solid income , good rental history and decent reserves you could still have options .
