The Houston Area is a great place to live and work, which is why so many are choosing to call it Home. As an area native, I share in the excitement to help my clients find places to live, work and play within in this exponentially growing metropolitan city.
Born in Houston and raised in Sugar Land, I've witnessed first-hand the exciting and gradual changes in our city. After graduating with my MBA from Texas Southern University and pursuing a career in sales and marketing, it was my own first home purchase that prompted me to learn more about real estate industry. It was then I discovered how many small details go into selling/buying a home. Since then I've sold homes for multiple new construction home builders, coordinated and closed transactions for institutional investors, and assisted buyers and sellers in personal transactions, all of which has given me a well-rounded understanding of behind-the-scenes action in home buying and selling.
I also enjoy creating relationships with my clients and being their trusted teammate through the process. Buying or selling a home can be incredibly stressful! I pride myself on being as knowledgeable as possible and more importantly, providing my clients with guidance, confidence, and a great customer experience. As an agent with Divvy, I specialize in assisting first-time home buyers and sellers in Houston's outlying suburban areas. Whether you're relocating from California to Katy, or selling your home in Tomball, or just looking for a place to stay in between homes, I can do it all!

Hi Taylor! I'm sorry about the situation and hopefully you've come to some type of resolve! In case anyone else comes to this for reference, in many cases the builder does not require any approval from the buyers in order to register someone as your real estate agent, just that they appear in person with you on the first visit. Also, they generally consider the real estate agent as the "procuring cause" for you purchasing the home with them if you do come with one on your first visit. There's generally not an easy way to get out of this predicament, because it is an agreement signed between the builder and the agent, however, I'd definitely suggest to escalate any issues with this to an area manager who may be able to better assist. However, I used to sell new home construction and the one thing I always told buyers is it doesn't cost you anything to have someone to consult, so why not! Most times in new home construction, the commission payment to agents is already an assumed cost from the builder and not an affecting factor in negotiating your new home deal.
