Listing your own home you put yourself in a difficult position. You need someone to look at your home from a different view point than you the owner. You might save on commission, but its not worth it most of the time.Posted 11 years ago
Hi James, Sorry you had this experience; there are a lot of poor agents in every market. Yes, The agent was very Unprofessional, but unfortunately, not much can be done except writing a complaint to HAR and to TREC. I would recommend both. Posted 11 years ago
You can find the Appraised Tax value for Harris County at www.HCAD.org
Search for the property there and hopefully your question is answered, otherwise contact a Realtor member of HAR.

You can search the HAR website. Use the filter for designations and area. Next, search the TREC site for agents in your area that have continuously educated themselves. You can also check the Realtor.com site for active agents with multiple listings. more...Posted 11 years ago
You cannot list your house on the HAR website without a Realtor. you might try For Sale by Owner sites. But your best bet is to find our local Realtor and use their expertise.Posted 11 years ago
The Preapproval letter should state how long its good for. That being said, Preapproval letters are not all created equally. Is it a Credit only approval, or has the underwriter approved, employment, funds to close, ect.?Posted 11 years ago
Good question. Any Realtor can up to receive a weekly report on your area of interest. That way you can get a good understanding of the market place. You will want to start talking to a loan officer 1 to 2 months prior, so that you can be fully approved more...Posted 11 years ago
