Sorella, this upcoming community sprawls across 238 acres

A new development near Cypress is poised to introduce 838 new homes along the FM 2920 corridor.

Known as Sorella, this upcoming community sprawls across 238 acres near Mueschke Road and is gearing up for home sales this spring, with prices starting as low as $300,000.

The collaboration between M/I Homes and Johnson Development Services, announced in 2021, has brought forth this new community. Sorella's debut phase will include 278 homes, featuring single-family designs ranging from 1,295 to 2,825 square feet under M/I Homes' Smart Series.

With suburban areas in the vicinity witnessing continuous expansion, developers are actively unveiling new housing projects. Johnson Development Services President Michael Cox expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasizing its benefits for homebuyers.

Cox highlighted the allure of the area, citing its favorable attributes such as excellent schools and accessibility, which have contributed to its recent growth.

Construction of model homes has commenced, with plans to open for sales in the spring, a prospect Cox finds particularly fulfilling.

Sorella, situated within Waller ISD, promises an array of amenities including a resort-style pool, open-air pavilion, event lawn, lakeside walking trails, and multiple playgrounds. Additionally, Cox noted that Sorella will offer a limited number of half-acre properties, catering to first-time homebuyers and those seeking more affordable housing options.
