Did you know Proposition 4 Passed? How do you feel about it?

Proposition 4 granted the legislature authorization to provide property tax exemptions to partially disabled veterans or their surviving spouses on part of the market value of their residence homesteads if the homesteads were donated to the veteran by a charity. So when organizations like Building Homes for Heros donates a home to a severely wounded veteran (which they just did in Spring, TX) the veteran gets a tax exemption instead of paying the total property taxes each year. I think it's a great thing to help our severely wounded Veterans. What do you think?

This is a truly great thing for the veterans. The more ways we can give back to our military men and women, the better. Because they serve---our country and our people all reap the rewards of freedom and all else we enjoy in this great country. Our service people step out first for us, and the least we can do is help them in every way we can during their service and especially when they come home or complete their tour of duty!

I feel good about Proposition 4 passing.

We should do more for our veterans!! They wear the scars of their patriotism and dedication daily. We should do everything we can to show our appreciation and thanks to them for their sacrifice.
