The best way is to choose a real estate firm that specializes in working with investors, and there aren't many of those. My firm, Winhiil Advisors Kirby, specializes in working with investors, which Is why I went to work with them to begin with. I did my first few fix and flips 18 years ago, back when I was a junior high teacher, and I've never gotten away from that side of the real estate business. Almost anyone can fill out the blanks on a contract, but you need an agent with a fairly deep understanding of real estate investing.
Interview, Interview, Interview. As Rakeisha has mentioned, search HAR for agents who indicate that they work with investors. Ask other investors for recommendations for knowledgeable agents. Then interview them. Being an investor, you know what you need in an agent. Ask questions, don’t ‘tell’ what you are looking for in an agent. Allow the agent to tell you what they can do for you.
