It can take up to 5 days to show up on Homes.com, and occasionally not ALL of the pictures are seen on other sites. In the Houston area serious buyers are looking at har.com for listings and nationwide realtor.com, so I would tell you not to worry about it too much...approximately 90% of the traffic is found on those 2 sites.

Hi Connie,

The simple answer is that our MLS (HAR.com) takes time to feed into other third party websites where the listings are also posted (Zillow, Homes, Realtor, etc.). I know even when I list a property on HAR, it is a bit of delay showing up on the HAR app. If your property has photos in the MLS, these photos should populate over to the other websites (I know with KW, our properties post to over 300 sites); it just may take a little time.

Hope this helps and good luck with your sale (hopefully by the time you're reading this your home has already sold!!)

Your home will not appear immediately on other real estate web portal such as Zillow.com or Homes.com. The home first appears on HAR.com and they gets syndicated to the other major web portals. Realtor.com, for example, will get the home within an hour, but Zillow.com within 48hrs. And to add another layer, these portals syndicate the home's information to other real estate web sites. Finally, its important for your Realtor to create a profile for themselves on these sites so they can go in and modify/add photos where needed. Good luck.

Connie, Great question, this is a common issue with third party websites. The biggest thing to understand is that ".com" sites such as Zillow, Trulia, Realtor, and homes, are third party sites that pick up a feed of information directly from local Multiple Listing Services (MLS). Since they are not the origin of information for listings, there are a few things to consider. First, there may simply be a delay in any particular site's IDX feed and it may just take some time for your listing to be picked up/ displayed. Other times your listing may not get picked up, because after all the IDX feed is an imperfect system. This is why I always recommend the use of local MLS sites for searching, such as Houston's HAR.com. If you definitely want to be sure that your property shows "for sale" on any particular site, simply tell your REALTOR and he/she can generally enter it in manually in a matter of minutes! Best of luck with the sale of your home, if you would like further information feel free to reach out to me by call/text/email---cody@interohouston.com---832-373-9755
