Should I get a "Home inspection?"

It is your "Right" as a buyer to have a property inspected and all though the price of a home inspection can vary, the unknown will always cost you more. Your agent can send you a list of inspectors to choose from, you can ask family and friends, you can research online, however not having one could cost you more down the line then getting an inspection done upfront. We offer a "free"home inspection" or "home warranty" of your choice (offer ends April 2015).

Absolutely!! Even if it is NEW construction you should always protect your best interest and get an inspection done by a professional. Older homes may even warrant a licensed plumber or electrician to inspect it. It is not expensive when you get the report and are able to negotiate repair items or an allowance from the seller for items unusual for a home that age. On New construction, Builders will fix 95% of what is found deficient on a report.

You should always get a home inspection, even on a new construction.

It is always a good decision to have inspections performed. Though the general inspection is very important you should always have a Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) or what is often referred to as a termite inspection. Both of these inspections are typically a small investment to ensure you know the possible issues a home may have before purchasing. Your general inspector may suggest have a plumber, A/C, foundation, or other inspection if necessary. Agreed! Many deficiencies can be hidden by paint or furniture, but a good inspector will be able to uncover them.

You didn't say the type of property ...but even if it is new construction / being constructed I recommend it. When my own home was built I had "staged" inspections done as the building progressed. You'd be amazed what they found .. so yes ... if you are buying a home have it inspected and if you are building a home have it inspected.

Yes always unless there is no structure on the property.
