I am a Houston transplant. I am originally from London, Ontario, Canada. I am both a wife and mother. My husband and I have a daughter and a dog named Scooter, both of whom keep us very busy. My family and I moved to Houston about 6 years ago after living in Asia (Korea, Qatar and Vietnam) for 15 years. I am a very outgoing person and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as camping, canoeing and horseback riding. I am a leader of a local girl scout troop. I enjoy mentoring the girls and teaching them about the great outdoors. I picked up the hobby of marital arts while we were overseas and have been studying various disicplines for over twenty years. I love the dedication and displine involved with martial arts. Before Real Estate I was a high school ESL teacher. It was teaching that took me overseas in the first place. I loved learning different languages, new teaching styles, trying different foods, learning new cultures and making friends from all over the world. I truly treasure the time we spent in Asia.
My interest in Real Estate stems from my life moving from place to place. I understand the stresses that come with buying and selling, learning a new area and trying to get settled. I also understand the importance of home. My teaching background and love of learning helps to keep me up to date and literate on a wide range of real estate topics. That drive, helps me educate and guide my clients on current market conditions & trends, prelisting and pricing, buyer needs assesments as well as the ins and outs of the entire real estate transaction process.

There are many home warranty companies to choose from.I would consider the following when trying to choose which is best for you (or your client); coverage limits, exclusions, add ons, service fees, reputation and customer service.You can check reviews to see how each company stacks up. It is also important to explain to homeowners what a home warranty is and isn't. I explain that it not necessarily going to replace your appliances every time. It is more of a cost saving tool.
I try to do as much staging as I can my self. Otherwise, I use Simple Elegance. They have several options for sellers. They do a walk through and give the seller's ideas on how to stage with the what the seller already has, or they do the whole sha-bang.
Like single family homes, it depends on the area. In recent times rents have sky rocketed and are not expected to go down. When representing a buyer tenant I still do a CMA. Don't automatically assume the listing price on the MLS is a done deal. Many seller's are willing to negociate.
