When requesting a showing through HAR the request goes directly to the listing agent, they may not see this request is why you didn't receive a answer. I would recommend finding a local agent who works rentals. They can then set up a search for you. When you find something your interested in that agent (your agent) can schedule showings and will help guide you through the process and documentation. they represent you in the transaction.
I use RentSpree, i believe it was recently added to HAR. It has options to verify references and upload documents with the credit and background check. Property websites, client management and online rent collection for landlords and property managers. Its been a great resource for me.
You have to disclose the home flooded and if the home is in a floodplain. In the Sellers Disclosure form you will ad the details of the event and actions that were taken. You don't have to disclose the amount of funds you received from insurance. I attached a link to the Sellers Disclosure
