Yes, Day On Market (DOM) may affect the ultimate price a house may sell for. Yet there are other factors to consider. The first would be to find out if the home has been listed before with another agent, thus finding the Cumulative Days On Market (CDOM). Greater than 180 day would indicate an unusual set of circumstances, perhaps the house was priced too high or the floor plan may be unusual for many buyers. We can find the neighborhoods average days on market to determine if there would be additional factors as to why a house is not selling.
