Making your bedroom stand out

One trend that’s gaining steam these days is converting your current bedroom into a luxury suite! If you want to live like you’re renting a room at a nice hotel here are a few tips.

Compartmentalize Your Activities

Making your bedroom more functional is going to make it more luxurious. I highly recommend taking desks out of the bedroom. Your bedroom should be your private retreat, not someplace where you deal with the stress of work & bills. If you are short on space and must have a work area in your bedroom, a gorgeous desk is a must!

Make it Chic

Choose a color palette that is both luxurious and classy. Choose muted shades that complement each other. A brilliant and commanding headboard can instantly upgrade the look of your room without any other changes. Dont have the funds for new furniture? Paint can do magic. My wife and I painted our dark maple poster bed to give it a more modern update and fell in love with it all over again!

Light it Properly

Make sure that you have the right light to show off your designs. If it’s too washed out or yellow, then it will look drab and run down. Switch to brilliant LEDs and see the difference. Dimmer switches are saving grace here! Create the ambiance you need at any time of day by taking control over the brightness of your lighting.

Choose Your Accents Wisely

Some elegant curtains can make your room feel royal. Being strategic with your furniture & accessories is going to both keep you under budget and avoid doing too much with the space. I personally dont like colorful walls, instead, I like to let my accessories bring color and personality to my space. This way I can change things up with each season!

Are you ready to redesign your bedrooms? You’ll be impressed by the results, and the feeling of decadence will make you more confident in your surroundings.
