At the August 18, 2020 City Council meeting, Mayor Zimmerman proclaimed August 24-28, 2020 “Healthcare Heroes Week" in Sugar Land. The overall goal of Healthcare Heroes week in Sugar Land is to inspire the community to show local healthcare heroes that their work is seen and appreciated and that their daily sacrifices have not been forgotten.
The week is envisioned to be a time of community celebration, with several activities organized by the City of Sugar Land. The occasion is also intended to serve as a catalyst for the community to initiate their own healthcare worker recognition activities, even beyond Healthcare Heroes Week.
